Meeting Architects, Inc.

Bill Anton, President of Meeting Architects in San Diego hired CDP to tie in some unique elements for their architectural based stage set. The theme was commercial and residential real estate in transition. Bill's challenge was to reconfigure the landscape on the fly for changing scenes. His choice was using several of our 8' and 12' unique prism shaped Arcturas. The lightweight steel frame and white tension fabric allowed Bill's Tech Director with a minimum staff to construct and assemble the products with ease.

"I needed a product that was neutral, mobile and could take on light, textures and patterns at any angle. The Arcturas did the trick and the event went extremely well!" boasted Bill.

"I had maximum punch for the themes keeping our budget at a minimum."

This is Bill's 3rd event working with CDP and each time he has been impressed by the service and attention to detail. Thank you Bill for your comments!

When Should you ask for CDP Labor?

imageSometimes it's difficult to know when to hire labor for your productions. Charles Lippross our CDP Account Manager gives some expert advise on what questions to ask yourself before hiring labor:

  • Have you rented and worked with our products before?
  • Are you familiar with the time frame it takes to build our sets? The size of the set and complexity should determine staff needs.
  • Do you or your hired staff have the time logistically on site to build the set yourselves?
  • Do you have a budget that will allow for labor? Typical labor hires include day rates, per diems and travel expenses.
  • Are you tech savvy? We offer step by step instructions for most sets but if constructing is not your forte' you may want to hire out.
  • Finally is hired labor what you really need? One hired supervisor may be enough to lead your team and could save money and headaches.

Bottom line... your client's experience will gauge whether their show is successful or not. If you want to get it right... hire an expert!
