A Branding Mistake
In the last fifteen years, scenic environments have evolved quite substantially to enhance a company's message on stage. Producers and designers are challenged to present their client's brand in a clear, powerful and attractive setting.  Yet, many make a mistake. They design or choose a setting that competes with or dilutes the brand's first impression. First impressions are always important! In corporate theater or events, a stage design or themed environment which calls attention to itself first and the brand second is a failure. A presentation environment must maintain a corporate aesthetic, but without the strong personality to distract the audience from why they came there in the first place. A proven philosophy is to choose clean, simple, classic, contemporary and elegant over interesting, unusual, artistic and different to avoid this mistake. "New" for the sake of being different, is not always better. Effective is always better! |
