Frank Camargo V.P. of Operations with Muse Presentation Technologies blended several of our modular components for a winning stage set combination in Philadelphia. First he created a center point with a 14' x 8' Bradford Panel. Then with tiered 30" x 30" Cy Tower Panels he engaged the width of the stage to complete his backdrop. Cy Towers also made perfect screen surrounds with 6' x 8' Bradford Panels serving as base pedestals. Topping it off with a Cy Tower Podium this set demonstrated versatility and endless lighting opportunities. It was an enormous success. Thanks for sharing Frank! Graphics Do's and Don'ts Adding graphics to your set design can be a daunting experience. But it doesn't have to be. Tasha Carter our CDP graphics extraordinaire shares 5 tips that will make your graphic image production needs seamless. -Find a provider with good graphic carrier systems. From simple graphics to the most complex you need systems that can display your message well. CDP has a wide ranging inventory of over 9 systems, all of which are scalable and available in large quantities. -Logos or Photographs: choosing the right format will avoid embarrassing results. When selecting an image make sure photographs are high resolution (300 DPI) files such as TIF or JPEG images. Logos and other hard edged graphics will require Vector or EPS files. Choosing the correct formats will automatically adjust your images on the substrates no matter what size graphics are needed. -10 day minimum lead times from shipping date are crucial for graphic approval. This allows for deposits by both parties to clear, enough time for client proofing and editing, and for materials to be delivered on straight time. -Want a quick turn-around? Avoid ordering Custom Graphics! Gobos, printing on fabric, laminates, Duratrans, vinyl decals and believe it or not...carpets are custom materials that are challenging to print. Not only will it be costly but plan on a 2-3 weeks lead time for these items! -Fiction: Printing on Stretch Fabric is like printing on any substrate. Fact- stretch fabric "moves" with your rigging points and component frameworks. Printed lettering or hard edged artwork can be somewhat distorted and your perfect image may be a disappointment. Use a qualified stretch fabric printer to produce a stunning and unique image. Just remember, the lead time process may take longer than normal for fabric printing ... so plan ahead! | |||||
